English Mini-Essay Compilation Week 1

(This essay is a collection of smaller essays, combined into one.)

What did you do on summer vacation?

For summer vacation, I visited my grandparents and went to a place called Hershey Park. It’s an amusement park based off of the candy brand Hershey. In order to get there, we had to drive all the way to my grandparent’s house (which is a nearly 3 hour drive), and stay there for the weekend. My parents had to sleep in a hotel nearby however, because my grandparent’s house (more specifically, their bedrooms) was being redone.

While we were there, we went on all sorts of rides, roller coasters and all. One of the roller coasters we went on went up to as much as 120.70 kilometers per hour, and trust me, it felt that way as well.

We did get lunch and eat together, plus after the trip, we got to stay at our grandparent’s house for a few more days before heading home.

What is your favorite hobby or free-time activity?

My favorite hobby might have to be drawing. Drawing is one of my favorite things to do within my free-time, as I get to just be creative and make whatever I think become reality.

Alongside drawing, one of my other favorite things to do to pass the time is play video games! I like to play them alongside my brothers and sister, but I do enjoy playing by myself though.

What is your favorite (or least favorite) school subject?

My favorite school subject has to be History. I’ve always found myself fascinated with learning about past events, and human history is no exception. I love seeing how far we’ve come as a species, how many wars broke out in the past, how many survived them… all sorts of things.

Seeing what wars we’ve been through just to make it today, seeing the beginnings of many countries and civilizations, I’ve always found myself amazed by it.

What is the furthest you have ever been from home?

The furthest I’ve been is probably Rhode Island. We go there annually to attend an event honoring a Navy Seal. My siblings and I don’t really do much there though, it is our mother who does something at the event.
