Topic: Is it true that acting quickly and instinctively is the best response to a crisis? Or are there times when an urgent situation requires a more careful consideration and a slower response?
I believe that certain situations, it is better to carefully consider what courses of actions to take. However, there is simply not enough time in those situations to carefully consider what to do, so many people resort to acting quickly.
There may be and are situations where acting quickly is the best option. However, I believe that there for many situations, prior training and drills could help with one’s decisions during the situation.
For example, if a fire were to occur, an escape plan would help. However, if one goes without that, I believe careful consideration would be required, as acting instinctively may strike panic, making the person’s decisions awfully dangerous.
