Topic: Is it true that when we most need advice we are least willing to listen to it? Or is good advice always welcome?
I believe that when we most need advice, we’re least willing to listen to it. I take my stance from personal experience, I’ve been in situations where I need advice, and where when I get it, I don’t listen to it.
Of course, my stance alone can’t speak for all. There are some people out there who may be more open minded towards good advice, and willing to accept it. However, judging from what I’ve seen from other people and myself, I keep my stance on not listening to advice when we need it.
Many times in homeschool, I’ve asked my sister for advice for essays or something, and whatever advice she gives me I usually ignore and find my own way on things. There have been multiple instances where I have ignored advice given to me when I’ve needed it, and I’ve seen people ignore the advice that was given to them. Therefore, I believe when we most need advice we are least willing to listen to it.
